BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's indoor track & field squad began the 2019-20 season at the non-scoring Fast Times Before Finals meet hosted by Lehigh University at Rauch Fieldhouse on Saturday.
Sophomore Amanda Crooks led the Greyhounds with a second place finish in the 60-meter dash with a school record time of 7.83 seconds in the finals, and she also placed seventh in the 200-meter dash in 27.11 seconds while freshman Crystal Robinson was second in the 200-meter dash in 26.05 seconds and ninth in the 60-meter dash preliminaries in 8.18 seconds in her first collegiate meet. Junior Jenevieve Eberly was seventh in the preliminaries of the 60-meter hurdles in 10.21 seconds while sophomore Ally Lambert was eighth in the event at 10.30 seconds.
Sophomore Natalie Stabilito placed eighth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:29.78.
The Greyhounds had three teams compete in the 4x400-meter relay team with the C squad of Lambert, juniors Morgan Weaver and Camaryn Wheeler and freshman Shannon Connelly placing fifth in a time of 4:26.82. The A squad of Robinson, Stabilito, Eberly and senior Shayne McNally finished seventh in the 4x400-meter relay in a time of 4:29.75 while the B team of senior Carly Danoski, junior Cat Cole, sophomore Hannah Flaven and freshman Emily Wells was one spot back in eighth at 4:31.70.
In the field events, junior Martha Thorpe finished tenth in the long jump with a distance of 4.91 meters (16-1.5).
The Hounds are not scheduled to return to action until Saturday, January 18 when the squad hosts the Moravian Indoor Meet at Lehigh's Rauch Fieldhouse.
