BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's indoor track & field squad recorded 13 Top 10 finishes as the team returned to action for the first time in six weeks in the Moravian Indoor Invitational at Lehigh University's Rauch Field House Saturday.
Senior Carly Danoski won the mile run for the Greyhounds with a PR time of 5:06.95, the seventh fastest time in school history, while sophomore Natalie Stabilito placed fifth in the 800-meter run in 2:28.15. Sophomore Emma Marion took third in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 19:34.08 while junior Molly Talarico was fifth in 19:57.93 and sophomore Rachael McCoach was ninth in the race in 20:42.07. Junior Natalie Novotni finished sixth in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 11:16.66.
In the sprints, freshman Crystal Robinson finished as the runner-up in the 400-meter dash in 1:02.07 while freshman Emily Wells took tenth in the race in 1:05.91. Robinson also took fourth in the 200-meter dash in 27.04 seconds.
Robinson, Danoski, Wells and freshman Shannon Connelly combined to finished second in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 4:17.72.
Freshman Elizabeth DeMassa placed seventh in the long jump with a leap of 5.06 meters (16-7.25) on her first attempt of the meet, and she also finished seventh in the triple jump with a distance of 9.75 meters (32-0) on her fifth attempt. Freshman Haylee Saylor was ninth in the triple jump at 9.61 meters (31-6.5), which came on her first leap of the day.
The Hounds are slated to return to action on Saturday, January 25 when the squad travels to the Diplomat Open being hosted by Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster.
