Greyhounds' 4x400-Meter Relay Scores at All-Atlantic Region Indoor Championships

ROCHESTER, N.Y. --- The Moravian College women's track & field team scored one point on the opening day of the 2020 All-Atlantic Region Indoor Championships being hosted by Nazareth (N.Y.) College.

The Greyhounds, who are 25th of 25 teams scoring points through the first seven events,  earned their initial point of the meet when the 4x400-meter relay squad of senior Carly Danoski, sophomore Ally Lambert and freshmen Shannon Connelly and Crystal Robinson finished eighth in a time of 4:03.84, the third fastest time in school history.

In preliminary action, sophomore Amanda Crooks was third in the 60-meter dash in a time of 7.77 seconds to move into Saturday's final while junior Martha Thorpe was 16th in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.55 seconds. Lambert also finished 19th in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.63 seconds while junior Tatiana Lopez was 20th in 9.68 seconds.

Thorpe would also place 24th in the triple jump at a distance of 10.66 meters (34-11.75).

The Hounds are slated to compete in the second day of the All-Atlantic Regional Indoor Championships on Saturday, March 7 with action beginning at 10:30 a.m. as the final chance to reach the top 20 in an event to participate in next weekend's NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships in North Carolina.
