Greyhounds Record 15 PRs at Fastrack National Invitational & Danoski Sets Mile Record Again

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. --- The Moravian College women's indoor track & field team recorded 15 personal best performances and one school record at the non-scoring Fastrack National Invitational competed at the Ocean Breeze Park & Athletic Complex in Staten Island, New York on Friday.

Senior Carly Danoski broke her own school record in the mile run by nearly two and a half seconds, winning the Invite mile run in a time of 4:54.78, which is also a new Landmark Conference record. Freshman Amanda Crooks ran a time of 7.86 seconds, tied for the third fastest in program history, in the preliminaries of the Invite 60-meter dash to qualify for the finals; however, she did not run the final event.

Freshman Crystal Robinson placed second in the College 200-meter dash in a PR of 25.86 seconds, the fourth fastest time in school history, while junior Morgan Weaver had a PR of 27.36 seconds, freshman Helen Davis ran a PR of 27.40 seconds and freshman Emily Wells added a PR of 27.96 seconds. Robinson was also the runner-up in the College 400-meter dash in a PR of 59.51 seconds, just missing out on making Moravian's top ten in the event. Three of the other four Greyhounds to finish in the Top 30 in the race also had PRs with sophomore Ally Lambert in 15th with a PR of 1:02.38, Weaver taking 19th in 1:02.86, freshman Shannon Connelly posting a PR of 1:03.43 in 27th place and Wells running a PR of 1:03.66 to finish in 29th.

Davis had a PR time of 8.32 seconds to finish as the runner-up in the College 60-meter dash while Wheeler was 13th in 8.60 seconds. Junior Martha Thorpe was 18th in the Invite 60-meter hurdle preliminaries while the Blue & Grey had three top ten finishes in the College 60-meter hurdles with junior Tatiana Lopez running a PR of 9.55 seconds to finish third. She was followed by Lambert in seventh at 9.96 seconds and junior Jenevieve Eberly in ninth in 10.33 seconds.

Moravian's 4x400-meter relay team of Danoski, Connelly, Lambert and Robinson finished seventh in a time of 4:05.72, the third fastest time in school history.

The Greyhounds also set four PRs in the College 3,000-meter run with junior Molly Talarico taking third in 10:47.23, sophomore Rachael McCoach finishing 14th in 11:02.97, senior Ashley Rohrer taking 15th in a time of 11:02.99 and sophomore Santina Burak placing 17th in 11:05.31. Sophomore Natalie Stabilito recorded a time of 2:27.58 to place 18th in the Invite 800-meter run.

Crooks was tied for fifth in the College high jump at a height of 1.50 meters (4-11) while Eberly finished 19th in the College long jump with a leap of 4.80 meters (15-9). Thorpe took 16th in the College triple jump with a distance of 10.76 meters (35-3.75).

The Hounds are slated to have their final tune-up before the 2020 Landmark Conference Championships on Friday, February 21 when the team heads to the Kutztown University Last Chance Meet.
