Moravian Women Finish Sixth at All-Atlantic Region Indoor Championships

ROCHESTER, N.Y. --- The Moravian College women's track & field team finished sixth at the 2020 All-Atlantic Region Indoor Championships hosted by Nazareth (N.Y.) College that concluded Saturday.

The Greyhounds scored 41 points in the two-day meet, picking up 40 points on Saturday. Sophomore Amanda Crooks won the 60-meter dash in a facility, meet and school record time of 7.65 seconds to earn 10 points for the Blue and Grey. Crooks' time is now tied for seventh on the Track & Field Results Reporting System list and will get her to next week's 2020 NCAA Division III National Championships as the top 20 individuals in each event made the NCAA meet. Crooks joined with juniors Martha Thorpe and Camaryn Wheeler and freshman Crystal Robinson in the 4x200-meter relay to finish second in a time of 1:46.30, the tenth-best time in school history to earn another eight points.

Sophomore Natalie Stabilito picked up eight points in the mile run with a PR of 5:11.70, taking nearly five seconds off of her previous career best, while junior Natalie Novotni  earned eight points with a runner-up finish in the 3,000-meter run with a PR of 10:14.02, the fifth fastest time in school history and a PR by nine seconds. Senior Carly Danoski earned five points with a fourth-place finish in the mile run in 2:17.72 while Robinson won her heat and finished eighth overall in the 200-meter dash in 26.09 seconds for Moravian's final point. Stabilito also raced in the 800-meter run, finished 22nd in a time of 2:31.56.

Moravian should have Crooks and Danoski competing at the 2020 NCAA Division III National Championships in North Carolina on March 13-14. The official participant lists will be announced on Sunday, March 8.
