Crooks & Danoski Qualify for 2020 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field National Championships

Amanda Crooks and Carly Danoski have qualified for the 2020 NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships in North Carolina.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- Moravian College sophomore Amanda Crooks and senior Carly Danoski have qualified for the 2020 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field National Championships on March 13-14 at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina being hosted by Visit Winston-Salem and Guilford College.

Crooks will run in the preliminaries of the 60-meter dash on Friday, March 13 at 4:05 p.m. with the three heat winners and the next five fastest times advancing to the finals on Saturday, March 14 at 3:40 p.m. Crooks is seventh on the qualifying list with a season-best time of 7.65, which is also the Moravian school record, in the All-Atlantic Region Indoor Championships on Saturday, March 7 at Nazareth College in Rochester, New York. Crooks is making her first appearance at the NCAA Championships.

Danoski will compete in the preliminaries of the mile run on Friday, March 13 at 2:20 p.m. with the top three runners in each of the two qualifying heat and the next four top times advancing to the finals on Saturday, March 14 at 2:40 p.m. Danoski is fifth on the qualifying list with a season-best and school record time of 4:54.78 that is converted to 4:57.70 due to being run on a banked track for NCAA qualifying in the Fastrack National Invitational on Friday, February 14 at the Ocean Breeze Complex in Staten Island, New York.

Danoski is making her fourth trip to the NCAA Division III Championships, and second indoors although this in her first time competing in an event other than the 800-meter run. Last March, she was 16th in the 800-meter preliminaries in 2:17.84.
