Women Capture Two Event Titles & 18 Top 10 Finishes at Alvernia PLEX Shootout

READING, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's indoor track & field squad had two individual event winners as the Greyhounds recorded 18 top 10 results at the non-scoring Alvernia University PLEX Shootout Saturday.

Sophomore Amanda Crooks won the 60-meter dash in a school record time of 7.82 seconds, taking one hundredth of a second off of her mark set back in December, and Crooks was also the runner-up in the high jump, clearing 1.52 meters (4-11.75) in her first collegiate meet at the event. Sophomore Natalie Stabilito win the 800-meter run with a PR time of 2:22.28.

Moravian also had a pair of runner-up finishes with freshman Crystal Robinson finished second in the 200-meter dash of 26.29 seconds while junior Jenevieve Eberly took second in the long jump with a leap of 4.95 meters (16-3). Robinson also placed third in the finals of the 60-meter dash in a PR of 8.13 seconds while junior Martha Thorpe was third in the finals of the 60-meter hurdles in 9.39 seconds.

Junior Tatiana Lopez was fifth in the finals of the 60-meter hurdles in a PR of 9.76 seconds while sophomore Ally Lambert placed seventh in a PR time of 9.86 seconds and Eberly was tenth in the race in 10.24 seconds. Freshman Shannon Connelly placed sixth in the 400-meter dash in a PR of 1:04.48 while junior Camaryn Wheeler took ninth in the 200-meter dash in 27.81 seconds. Wheeler raced with juniors Morgan Weaver and Emily Renner and freshman Helen Davis to a fifth-place finish in the 4x200-meter relay in 1:54.73.

Sophomore Rachael McCoach placed third in the 5,000-meter run with a PR time of 19:44.33 while senior Ashley Rohrer was fourth in a PR of 19:45.38 and senior Katie Mayer took tenth at 20:34.61. Sophomore Santina Burak finished ninth in the 800-meter run in 2:32.25 while junior Molly Talarico placed eighth in the mile run in 5:31.83.

The Greyhounds are slated to return to action on Friday, February 14 when the team head to the Ocean Breeze Complex in Staten Island, New York for the Fasttrack National Invitational.
