STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. --- The Moravian College women's track & field squad had a pair of student-athletes compete and all set personal best times at the University of Albany Winter Classic at Ocean Breeze in Staten Island Friday.

Senior Carly Danoski set two school records in the meet. She finished as the runner-up in the mile run with a time of 4:57.19, taking four tenths of a second off of Heidi Wolfsberger's mark set back in 2001 and nearly ten seconds off of her previous career best in the event. Danoski's time is just the third in school history under five minutes in the mile run, and it also ranks third in the nation on the Track & Field Results Reporting System list. The top 20 individuals in each event on the TFRRS list as of the end of competition on March 7 will compete in the 2020 NCAA Division III National Championships the following weekend in North Carolina. Sophomore Natalie Stabilito also raced in the mile run and placed 29th with a PR time of 5:17.38.

Approximately two and a half hours after her school record in the mile, Danoski broke her own school record in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:14.00, knocking 0.13 seconds off of her previous best in the event. Danoski's 800-meter time is also third on the TFRRS list.

The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, February 8 in the Alvernia University PLEX Shootout.
