BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's volleyball squad is slated to open the 2019 season by hosting the 17th Annual Greyhound Premiere Invitational on Friday and Saturday, August 30-31 in Johnston Hall and Timothy Breidegam Fieldhouse.
The Greyhounds will take on Penn State-Harrisburg and Grove City College on August 30 to start the tournament before hosting Misericordia University and Alvernia University on August 31. The Hounds head out on the road to Manhattanville College on Wednesday, September 4 before a tri-match at Penn State-Harrisburg with Penn State-Altoona on Saturday, September 7. The squad comes home to host DeSales University on Tuesday, September 10 before a trip to the Kean (N.J.) University Invitational on Friday and Saturday, September 13-14 with contests against Kean, New York University, Lycoming College and Gettysburg College.
The Blue and Grey make the short trip to Allentown to play rival Muhlenberg College on Tuesday, September 17 before heading to the Knights Invitational at Neumann University for matches versus Rosemont College and Widener University on Friday, September 20 and Hood College and Keystone College on Saturday, September 21. Moravian hosts Cedar Crest College on Wednesday, September 25 and then finishes the month with a tri-match at The United States Merchant Marine Academy with Rutgers-Newark on Saturday, September 28.
The Greyhounds start October at home by welcoming Lancaster Bible College to Johnston Hall on Tuesday, October 1, and Moravian will begin its 2019 Landmark Conference season on Saturday, October 5 with at Elizabethtown College with contests versus the Blue Jays and Goucher College. The Hounds head to Susquehanna University for a conference match on Wednesday, October 9 before a tri-match at Montclair State University with Kenyon (Ohio) College on Saturday, October 12.
The Blue and Grey have two more home matches for the season with The University of Scranton coming to Johnston Hall on Wednesday, October 23 and Penn State-Berks in town on Tuesday, October 29. Moravian will travel to Lebanon Valley College for a tri-match with Eastern University on Saturday, October 26 before heading to Juniata College for the final two Landmark Conference contests of the season on Saturday, November 2 versus the Eagles and The Catholic University of America.
Moravian looks to qualify for the postseason for the 2019 Landmark Conference Championships that begins with the semifinals on Wednesday, November 6 and the finals slated for Saturday, November 9 at the highest remaining seeds' home court.
