PURCHASE, N.Y. --- The Moravian College women's volleyball team won its second five-set match of the year, defeating host Manhattanville College, 3-2, Wednesday evening.

The Greyhounds, now 3-2 this fall, fell in the opening set 25-13 before winning the next two sets, 25-15, 25-17. The Valiants came back to capture the fourth set, 25-20, while the Hounds would win the fifth set, 15-12, to capture the match.

Sophomore outside hitter Kirah Dreisbach paced the squad with 12 kills and 18 digs while sophomore middle blocker Jess Appleton had 11 kills and three blocks. Sophomore middle blocker Renee Mapa contributed eight hills and five blocks while sophomore outside hitter Sela Herber had eight kills, nine digs and three blocks. Senior setter Victoria Kauffman ran the Moravian offense with 32 assists to go with eight digs while freshman defensive specialist Gabby Mancini had 18 digs and seven service aces. Freshman setter Taylor Morley added seven digs, four assists, three blocks and three kills.

The Hounds are slated to return to action on Saturday, September 7 in a tri-match at Penn State-Harrisburg with Penn State-Altoona beginning at 11:00 a.m.
