Moravian Drops Non-Conference Match at Muhlenberg

ALLENTOWN, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's volleyball team fell by a 3-0 final at Muhlenberg College in non-conference action Tuesday evening.

The Mules posted set wins of 25-19, 25-18, 25-22 in Memorial Hall. Sophomore outside hitter Kirah Dreisbach led the Greyhounds with 13 kills to go with eight digs while sophomore middle blocker Jess Appleton had seven kills. Sophomore outside hitter Sela Herber and sophomore middle blocker Renee Mapa each contributed five kills with Herber adding eight digs while junior right side hitter Emerson Gieryic had two kills.

Freshman setter Taylor Morley led the Blue and Grey's offense with 18 assists to go with six digs and a pair of service aces while senior setter Victoria Kauffman added 11 assists. Senior defensive specialist Alexis Szaro had a team-high 12 digs while freshmen defensive specialist Gabby Mancini and Gabby Mineo each had six digs with Mineo adding two service aces.

The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Friday, September 20 in the opening day of the Knights Invitational at Neumann University with contests versus Rosemont College at 6:00 p.m. and Widener University at 8:00 p.m.
