The Moravian field hockey squad huddled up during their first practice of the 2022 season.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University field hockey team is ready to start the 2022 campaign on Wednesday, September 1 when the squad hosts DeSales University for a 7:00 p.m start.

The Greyhounds are coming off the best season in program history under the direction of Head Coach Sarah Dalrymple, who completed her first full collegiate season last year. Moravian's 14-3 record last season garnered the top seed in the Landmark Conference Tournament and boasted many program bests, including seven Landmark Conference All-Conference selections. Moravian returns 14 Hounds to the field and adds five first-year student-athletes and four transfers to the roster. Sophomore Sydney Anderson is the returning leading scorer from last season alongside senior Emily Wells who led the Greyhounds in assists a year ago. Senior Goalkeeper Brooke Wilkinson returns to the field after 1,032 minutes in goal and a 1.22 goals-against-average.

Coach Dalrymple and senior Mackenzie Jakobsen discuss their preparations for the 2022 season in a preview video available below.

The Greyhounds open the year on John Makuvek Field on Thursday, September 1 when DeSales University comes to Bethlehem for a 7:00 p.m. non-conference contest.
