TOWSON, Md. --- The Moravian University field hockey team has had seven student-athletes selected to the 2022 Landmark All-Conference Teams with senior midfielder Emily Wells and sophomore forward Sydney Anderson being named to the All-Conference First Team.

Senior defender Elise Keeney, senior goalie Brooke Wilkinson and junior defender Onalee Long were selected to the All-Conference Second Team.

Moravian, under the direction of third year Head Coach Sarah Dalrymple, who was in her second year on the field due to the pandemic, completed the year at 8-11 while making the Landmark Conference Tournament for the second straight fall and reaching the conference championship match for the first time in program history. The Hounds' semifinal 1-0 win at top seed The University of Scranton was just the second postseason victory for the program and the first since 1987.

"We are incredibly proud to have five Moravian student-athletes named to the All-Conference teams," Dalrymple said. "This is a direct reflection of every individual in this program working to raise the standard of Moravian Field Hockey every day."

Wells, who was named to the Landmark All-Conference First Team a year ago, was second on the squad this fall with 17 points on four goals and nine assists. Wells completed her career tied for second in program history with 21 assists to go with 17 goals to finish tied for 12th in school history with 55 points. She also netted four game-winning goals in 52 career matches

"Emily has been a leader by example since she arrives at Moravian," Dalrymple noted. "Her ability to raise the tempo of the game at the flip of the switch allows her to stand out in the midfield."

Anderson, who also made the Landmark All-Conference First Team in 2021, led the team in scoring this year with 12 goals and three assists for 27 points. Anderson is already tied for sixth in school history with 61 career points on 27 goals, which is tied for seventh all-time, and seven assists, and she has netted six game-winning goals in 35 career matches.

"Sydney has a nose for the goal and a knack for finishing," commented Dalrymple. Over the past year, she's developed her level of comfort on the ball and leadership on the striker line."

Wilkinson, who repeated on the Landmark All-Conference Second Team, posted a 1.63 goals-against average with 87 saves, six shutouts and an 8-11 record while playing all 1,181 minutes in goal this fall. She finished her career with a 1.51 goals-against average, which is third all-time, 177 saves, which ranks ninth in program history, a 22-14 record, which is third in victories, and 11 shutouts, which is tied for second in school history, in 2,350 minutes, eighth all-time, over 41 matches.

"Brooke has been a standout for us in goal throughout this season," Dalrymple stated. Her ability to organize and influence the game even when she isn't directly involved in the play has been extremely important throughout this season."

Long, who was selected to the Landmark All-Conference First Team last fall, contributed two goals and three assists to go along with three defensive saves this season. She has three goals, five assists and seven defensive saves in 36 matches with the Hounds.

"Onalee has a natural comfort and finesse on the ball," Dalrymple said. "Her mentality allows her to stay calm under pressure which is extremely important in the backfield."

Keeney was honored for the first time in her career. She had one defensive save this fall and a total of three in her career over 53 matches.

"Elise is one of, if not the hardest workers on the team," Dalrymple noted. "She gets back up with a smile on her face anytime she's knocked down and continues to rise to the occasion in the backfield."
