Three Greyhounds and Women’s Track & Field Program Earn USTFCCCA Academic Awards

USTFCCCA All-Academic Honorees

NEW ORLEANS, La. --- Moravian University had three student-athletes named United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Athletes, and the women's track & field squad was honored as an All-Academic Team by the USTFCCCA for the 2023 season.

Moravian's individual selections were seniors Rachel Byrne and Crystal Robinson and sophomore Abby Giamoni. To earn All-Academic individual honors, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 and have competed in the 2023 NCAA Outdoor National Championships or have finished the regular season ranked in the national top-50 in an individual event or ranked in the national top-35 in a relay event on the official NCAA Descending Order List.

The trio were part of the Greyhounds' quartet in the 4x100-meter relay that placed 12th overall in the preliminaries of the event at the 2023 NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championships with a time of 47.47 seconds. All three also earned USTFCCCA All-Metro Region honors in the relay with Robinson adding an All-Region honor in the 400-meter dash this spring.

The women's team maintained a 3.42 cumulative GPA after the year. To be considered an All-Academic Team, programs must have a cumulative GPA of 3.10 or greater.
