BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's outdoor track & field team began the 2024 Coach Pollard Invitational with an event victory and a pair of regional qualifying times Friday at Timothy Breidegam Track.
Moravian Event Winners
- Sophomore Tori Champagne won the 10,000-meter run with an All-Atlantic Region Track & Field qualifying time of 40:10.91
Moravian Top 10 Finishers
- Sophomore Tara Smurla was the runner-up in the 10,000-meter run with an AARTFC qualifying mark of 40:11.21. Sophomore Meghan Myers took fourth in the race in 41:42.72 while junior Ally Meeks was fifth in 41:43.90
- Junior Caillie Fish was third in the hammer throw with a toss of 43.26 meters (141-11) while sophomore Margie Rayne placed eighth with a mark of 40.35 meters (132-4)
- Junior Mikayla Woodring was seventh in the shot put with a distance of 10.59 meters (34-8.74) while sophomore Karalyn Vashey placed eighth at 10.49 meters (34-4.75), Rayne finished ninth at 10.39 meters (34-1) and junior Arin Peykar took tenth at 10.12 meters (33-2.25)
