Ten Women Earn Landmark Indoor Track & Field All-Conference Accolades

TOWSON, Md. --- The Moravian University women's indoor track & field team had ten student-athletes received 11 Landmark All-Conference accolades for their performances at the 2024 Landmark Indoor Championships last weekend hosted by Susquehanna University.

The Greyhounds, who placed third in the conference meet, had four student-athletes garner All-Conference First Team accolades for winning conference titles as the distance medley relay squad of juniors Rachael Goodman, Rylie Murphy, Amber Poniktera and Lexi Rushatz took first.

Moravian had five Second Team honorees for finishing as the runner-up in their events. The list included junior Abby Giamoni in the 400-meter dash, sophomore Ali Haefele in the triple jump, graduate student Jocelynn Itterly in the high jump, sophomore Tara Smula in the 5,000-meter run and sophomore Karalyn Vashey in the 20-pound weight throw.

With the expansion of the conference this year, third place finishers are named Honorable Mention All-Conference. Smurla was also an Honorable Mention selection in the 3,000-meter run while senior Lexi Groff earned Honorable Mention in the high jump.

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Friday and Saturday, March 1-2 at the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Championships being hosted by Nazareth (N.Y.) College.
