CORTLAND, N.Y. --- The Moravian University women's outdoor track & field team earned four points and is 25th of 31 schools scoring points on the first day of competition at the 2024 All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference Outdoor Championships at SUNY Cortland Wednesday.
Moravian Scoring Finishers
- Sophomore Tara Smurla placed fifth in the 10,000-meter run in a time of 38:07.50 to score the Hounds' four points on the opening day
Moravian Competitors
- Junior Amber Poniktera finished 16th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a time of 11:40.41 while junior Rachael Goodman placed 19th in a time of 11:47.12. Freshman Alexis Hockenberry was 33rd in the race in 12:06.68 while freshman Alyssa Hockenberry took 36th in a time of 12:22.53
- The Greyhounds' 4x100-meter relay team of senior Lexi Groff, junior Abby Giamoni, sophomore Shai Knight and freshman Rachele Grigoli finished 16th in a time of 49.68 seconds
- Junior Abby McClaskey was 21st in the javelin with a throw of 27.23 meters (89-4)
- Sophomore Tori Champagne was 26th in the race in a time of 43:03.87 while junior Ally Meeks took 27th in 43:45.08
