Moravian Tied for 20th after First Day at AARTFC Indoor Championships

ROCHESTER, N.Y. --- The Moravian University women's indoor track & field squad is tied for 20th after the first day of competition at the 2024 All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Indoor Championships at Nazareth (N.Y.) College Friday.

Moravian Competitors

  • Sophomore Tara Smurla finished sixth in the 5,000-meter run in personal best time of 17:52.54, the 12th best time in program history. Smurla scored three points for Moravian in the team standings
  • The Greyhounds' distance medley relay team of juniors Amber Poniktera, Rylie Murphy, Lexi Rushatz and Rachael Goodman finished 16th with a season-best time of 13:00.71
  • Sophomore Ali Haefele took 24th in the long jump with a leap of 4.92 meters (16-1.75) on her first attempt of the meet
