DiLolle & Goodwin Honored as Landmark Conference Men's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College freshman sprinter Bill DiLolle and sophomore pole vaulter Scott Goodwin have been honored as the Landmark Conference Men's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week for their performances last Saturday at the non-scoring Lehigh University Fast Times Before Finals.

DiLolle turned in an ECAC qualifying time of 7.07 seconds, the ninth fastest time in school history, in the finals of the 60-meter dash to finish third, and he was fourth in the preliminaries in 7.15 seconds. He was also 16th in the 200-meter dash in a time of 23.64 seconds.

"He's looked explosive in practice and as we've learned these past two weeks he has a real competitive edge and doesn't want to lose," commented Head Coach Jesse Baumann. "He has a huge upside and is already putting himself in the company of some of the best sprinters we've had here at Moravian."

Goodwin was fifth in the pole vault at the Fast Times Before Finals at 4.25 meters (13-11.25).

"Scott's first meet didn't go as planned and he had to really grit it out the first few bars on Saturday but he ended up having a really good day and is already picking up where he left off last outdoor season," stated Baumann. "We're hoping he can hit the 15' bar at some point this season, it's just a matter of how soon."

The Greyhounds have over a month off before returning to action on Saturday, January 14, 2017 in the Great Dane Classic being competed at Ocean Breeze Complex in Staten Island, New York.
