Hounds Fall to DeSales in 2019 Season Opener on John Makuvek Field

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College field hockey team fell to visiting DeSales University in non-conference action on John Makuvek Field Friday to begin the 2019 season.

The Bulldogs and Greyhounds, playing for the first time under the new 15-minute quarter rules, were scoreless after 15 minutes of action. DeSales then scored one goal in each of the final three quarters for the victory.

Moravian junior goalie Ashley Kunsman had seven saves in 36 minutes of action while freshman goalie Brooke Wilkinson made four saves over the final 24 minutes in her first collegiate action.

The Hounds will be back in action Saturday, August 31 in a non-conference match at Ramapo College of New Jersey beginning at 5:00 p.m.
