BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College Department of Athletics & Recreation has named Sarah Dalrymple as its next Head Field Hockey Coach with Dalrymple beginning her duties on February 24.

"We are excited to welcome Sarah Dalrymple to our staff at Moravian College," commented Director of Athletics & Recreation Mary Beth Spirk. "Sarah has prepared herself to take the next step in the coaching profession and we are excited for her to lead our women's field hockey team on her journey. Sarah's enthusiasm and knowledge for the game was evident the moment she stepped on campus. We look forward to having Sarah take the field hockey program to the next level at Moravian."

Dalrymple comes to Bethlehem after four years as an assistant coach at NCAA Division I Lafayette College in Easton. She served as an assistant coach at Hofstra University for two years during the 2014 and 2015 campaigns for the Pride and at Longwood University for two seasons. Dalrymple also worked as the Head Recruiting Coordinator in Member services for NCSA Athletic Recruiting in Chicago as well as serving in a coaching role for club programs in New York, Virginia and Pennsylvania from 2009 through 2016 and the USA Field Hockey Futures Program. In addition to her duties at Lafayette, Dalrymple is currently the goalkeeping coach for USA Field Hockey Junior High Performance Teams in Lancaster, working with the U17, U19, U21 and Developmental Squads.

"I am grateful to Athletic Director Mary Beth Spirk, Assistant Athletic Director Rebecca May, and the entire search committee for the opportunity to lead the program. From the moment I stepped onto campus, you could feel the sense of community throughout the entire college. Moravian's commitment to success is evident and I am eager to begin."

Dalrymple was a five-year student-athlete at Temple University from 2006-10, serving as a team captain her final two seasons. She was selected as the team's defensive Most Valuable Player in her senior season and earned National Field Hockey Coaches Association Second-Team All-Mid-Atlantic Region and Atlantic 10 Conference All-Championship Team honors in 2010 as well.

After graduation, Dalrymple continued her playing career at the international level as a member of the U.S. National Indoor Team in 2012 and 2013. She was also a member of the U.S. Developmental Squad in 2010 and 2011 and helped the U.S. Women's High Performance Team to National Championships in 2010 and 2011.

"Throughout my career I've had the opportunity to learn from many talented coaches, especially Jennifer Stone," stated Dalrymple. "I want to sincerely thank Jennifer for the support she's provided over the past four seasons to help prepare me for this next challenge."

Dalrymple takes over a Moravian program that was 2-5 in Landmark Conference action last season and 5-12 overall that had five one-goal setbacks including one in overtime.
