Scott Scores First Collegiate Goal But Hounds Fall at Ramapo

MAHWAH, N.J. --- Moravian College freshman forward Madison Scott scored her first career goal Saturday in non-conference action at Ramapo College of New Jersey but the Hounds' field hockey squad came up short, falling 4-1.

The Roadrunners netted one goal in the first quarter and two more in the second for a 3-0 halftime lead. Four minutes into the second half, Scott knocked in a pass from senior forward Kylie Mastricola for the Blue and Grey's first goal of the season. Ramapo added a goal late in the third quarter to finish off the scoring.

Moravian junior goalie Ashley Kunsman registered nine saves in the contest.

The Greyhounds are slated to return to action on Wednesday, October 4 in a non-conference match at Immaculata University beginning at 6:30 p.m.
