Hounds Drop Non-Conference Match to Muhlenberg on Breast Cancer Awareness Night

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College field hockey team dropped a 4-0 non-conference decision to rival Muhlenberg College on John Makuvek Field Tuesday evening as the Greyhounds held their annual Breast Cancer Awareness match.

The contest was scoreless through the first quarter before the Mules netted three goals in the second quarter. Muhlenberg added a goal in the fourth period.

Greyhound junior goalie Ashley Kunsman made four saves while playing the first half of the match, and freshman goalie Brooke Wilkinson added four stops in the second half.

The Blue and Grey will be right back on the field on Wednesday, October 2 when then head back to Delaware Valley University to complete a match that was begun on September 11 but suspended at halftime due to lightning with the score knotted at 1-1. The contest will resume at 5:30 p.m. with the start of the second half.
