BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's track & field squad opened the 2022-23 indoor season at the Lehigh University Fast Times Before Finals at Rauch Fieldhouse on Friday and Saturday, and the Greyhounds posted a trio of All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference qualifying marks to begin the year.
Top 10 Finishes
- Sophomore Trey Rolle finished as the runner-up in the high jump with an All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference qualifying mark mark of 1.95 meters (6-4.75), and he jumped to fifth place in the long jump with a distance of 6.45 meters (21-2)
- Sophomore Trevor Gray was the runner-up in the 60-meter dash finals in a personal best and an AARTFC qualifying time of 6.92 seconds while junior Matt Shea finished fourth in a PR and an AARTFC qualifying time of 7.14 seconds and freshman Jacob Fenstermaker took eighth in 7.19 seconds. Junior Jared Santos was eighth in the preliminaries in a PR time of 7.24 seconds but did not make the finals
- Gray was also the runner-up in the 200-meter dash in 23.11 seconds while Shea came in seventh in the race in 23.39 seconds
- Freshman Josh Swain placed third in the 60-meter hurdle finals in a time of 9.21 seconds while senior Ethan Cherubin took fourth with a time of 9.27 seconds. Freshman Liam Maguire finished seventh in 9.51 seconds while sophomore Jason Gartner took eighth in 9.93 seconds in the finals
- Freshman Kevin Hess raced to ninth place in the 400-meter dash in a time of 53.64 seconds
- Graduate student Tim King was sixth in the 35-pound weight throw on Friday with a toss of 15.24 meters (50-0) while senior Dan Jenkins took eighth at a mark of 14.76 meters (45-6)
- King was also tenth in the shot put with a toss of 12.57 meters (41-3)
