Gray Captures Two Event Titles in Moravian Indoor Meet

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's track & field team hosted the non-scoring 20-team Moravian University Indoor Meet at Lehigh University's Rauch Fieldhouse Saturday.

Event Winners

  • Sophomore Trevor Gray won the 60-meter dash in an All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference qualifying time of 6.95 seconds after having the fastest preliminary time of 7.01 seconds
  • Gray also captured first in the 200-meter dash in an indoor personal best time of 23.06 seconds just a few minutes later

Top 10 Finishes

  • Sophomore Owen Sabastro finished second in the 60-meter dash finals in 7.26 seconds while junior Jared Santos was sixth in 7.31 seconds after qualifying in 7.28 seconds
  • Santos was fifth in the 200-meter dash in 23.89 seconds while Sabastro finished seventh in 23.95 seconds
  • Sophomore Owen Nahf was the runner-up in the 3,000-meter run with a time of an All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference qualifying time of 8:37.81 while senior Shane Houghton finished sixth in 8:58.55
  • Freshman Jacob Fenstermaker was ninth in the prelims of the 60-meter dash in 7.33 seconds, missing the finals by three thousandths of a second
  • The Hounds 4x400-meter B relay of senior Elias Aviles, junior Paul Petre, sophomore Geoffrey Kleinberg and freshman Joe Allegro took seven in a time of 3:45.1 while the A relay of sophomore Jason Gartner and freshmen Kevin Hess, Liam Maguire and Josh Swain was tenth in 3:48.99
  • Graduate student Tim King was fourth in the 35-pound weight throw with a toss of 15.26 meters (50-0.75)
  • King also finished fourth in the shot put at a PR and AARTFC qualifying distance of 14.26 meters (46-9.5)
