Moravian Breaks 4x100 Relay Record in Widener Final Qualifier

CHESTER, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's track & field squad participated in the non-scoring Widener University Final Qualifier Monday. 

Moravian Finishers

  • The Greyhounds 4x100-meter relay squad of Jared Santos, sophomores Trevor Gray and Owen Sabastroand freshman Jacob Fenstermaker was third in the 4x100-meter relay with an All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference qualifying and school record time of 41.54 seconds
  • Gray took eighth in the 100-meter dash finals in 11.18 seconds after qualifying in seventh with an AARTFC qualifying mark of 10.97 seconds. Fenstermaker was 15th in the preliminaries in a time of 11.35 seconds while Sabastro took 18th in 11.37 seconds
  • Santos placed eighth in the 200-meter dash in a time of 22.52 seconds
  • Sophomore Jake Farrell took tenth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a time of 10:09.99
  • Junior Matt Shea was 13th in the 400-meter dash in 51.39 seconds
