Five Hounds Receive All-Conference Honors at 2023 Outdoor Track & Field Championships

TOWSON, Md. --- The Moravian University men’s outdoor track & field squad had five student-athletes earn seven All-Conference accolades for their performances at the 2023 Landmark Conference Outdoor Championships last weekend hosted by the Greyhounds at Timothy Breidegam Track.

The Hounds, which finished third at the Landmark Championships, were led by graduate student Tim King and sophomore Nathan Hajel, who both earned a First Team and Second Team honor. King captured shot put with a toss of 14.61 meters (47-11.25), and he was second in the discus while Hajel took first in the 10,000-meter run in a time of 33:57.88 and second in the 5,000-meter run.

Moravian had one other First Team selection with junior Dan McNicholas taking first in the hammer throw with a distance of 47.12 meters (154-7).

The Greyhounds had another two Second Team honorees with runner-up finishes at the championship meet with senior Shane Houghton taking second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and sophomore Trevor Gray placing second in the 100-meter dash.
