EASTON, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's track & field team opened the 2023 outdoor campaign at the Lafayette College Open Saturday in the rain a Metzgar Fields.
Top 10 Finishers
- Freshman Joshua Swain was the runner-up in the 110-meter high hurdles in a time of 18.29 seconds while freshman Liam Maguire took third in the race in 18.89 seconds
- Sophomore Jason Gartner took second in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:02.95 while Swain placed third in 1:11.13 and Maguire finished fourth in 1:13.27
- Sophomore Trevor Gray was fourth in the 100-meter dash in a time of 11.35 seconds while freshman Jacob Fenstermaker took seventh in in 11.76 seconds, sophomore Owen Sabastro placed eighth at 12.01 seconds, Gartner finished ninth in 12.07 seconds and junior Matt Shea took tenth in 12.52 seconds
- Senior Shane Houghton placed fifth in the 5,000-meter run in 15:56.34
- Sophomore Jake Farrell was fifth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at a time of 10:43.08
- Junior Brendon Ward took sixth in the 800-meter run in 2:03.93 while junior Casey Frank was eighth in 2:05.2 and sophomore Geoffrey Kleinberg was tenth at 2:06.83
- Frank also finished tenth in the 1,500-meter run in 4:18.32
- Junior Jeremy Goll was third in the shot put with a toss of 11.04 meters (36-2.75
- Senior Eric Keck placed fifth in the javelin with a toss of 37.60 meters (123-4) while senior Adam Gildea was a spot back in sixth at 37.18 meters (122-0)
- Graduate student Tim King took sixth in the hammer throw with a toss of 42.36 meters (139-0)
