ALLENTOWN, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's track & field squad won two events and had a pair of All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference qualifying marks at the non-scoring Muhlenberg College Invitational Saturday.
Event Winners
- Sophomore Trey Rolle won the high jump, which was competed indoors due to the weather, at an All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference qualifying height of 1.92 meters (6-3.50)
- The Greyhounds 4x100-meter relay team of sophomore Trevor Gray, sophomore Owen Sabastro, freshman Jacob Fenstermaker and junior Matt Shea captured first place in a time of 43.04 seconds
Top 10 Finishers
- Gray was the runner-up in the 100-meter dash in an AARTFC qualifying time of 10.83 seconds while junior Jared Santos was fifth in 11.14 seconds and Fenstermaker took sixth in 11.19 seconds
- Senior Shane Houghton was third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a time of 9:57.73
- Gray was also fourth in the 200-meter dash in 22.58 seconds while Santos placed sixth in 22.96 seconds
- Freshman Josh Swain took fourth in the 110-meter high hurdles in 16.77 seconds while freshman Liam Maguire was seventh at 17.12 seconds
- Junior Casey Frank placed fourth in the 800-meter run in a time of 1:59.78 while junior Brendon Ward took sixth in 2:00.35 and freshman Bryan Kerchner finished tenth in 2:00.95
- Sophomore Nathan Hajel finished fourth in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 15:32.21
- The Hounds "A" 4x400-meter relay squad was sixth in 3:34.45 while the "B" team took ninth in 3:37.86
- Sophomore Jake Farrell was seventh in the 1,500-meter run in a time of 4:11.68
- Sophomore Jason Gartner placed seventh in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:00.87 while Swain took eighth at 1:02.55 and Maguire was tenth in 1:03.59
- Sophomore Geoffrey Kleinberg finished eighth in the 400-meter dash in 52.32 seconds
- Graduate student Tim King took fifth in the shot put with a mark of 13.07 meters (42-10.75)
- Senior Adam Gildea finished fifth in the discus with a toss of 42.07 meters (138-00) while King was seventh at 41.89 meters (137-5)
- Friday afternoon at DeSales University, King placed fifth in the hammer throw with a personal best toss of 45.35 meters (148-9) while junior Dan McNicholas was ninth with a mark of 38.93 meters (127-8)
