TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College sophomore pitcher Madison Hummel has been honored as the Landmark Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for her performance last week.

Hummel had a 3-0 week in the circle for No. 19 Moravian with a 0.93 ERA, seven strikeouts and just one walk in 15 innings of action. Hummel started the week with one strikeout in three innings in the Greyhounds' 11-1, five-inning win at Gwynedd Mercy University. She tossed her first complete game of the season on Saturday in Moravian's 5-3 win over Juniata College when she had four strikeouts and no walks in seven innings of work. Hummel finished the weekend with her first collegiate shutout as she scattered six hits and had two strikeouts in a 10-0, five-inning win at Juniata.

"Madi's ability to locate and mix her pitches well has allowed her to experience much success to start off her season," stated Head Coach John Byrne.

The No. 19 Greyhounds, who are 8-0 this spring, are slated to return to action on Tuesday, March 23 when the squad hosts Keystone College in a non-conference doubleheader starting at 3:00 p.m. at Blue & Grey Field.
