BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's basketball team is set to host the 17th Steel Club Classic in Johnston Hall on January 4-5. The tournament was held for 13 consecutive years before taking two years off after a change in the Landmark Conference schedule. The tournament resumed in December 2016 and switched back to January this season. Host Moravian will play Neumann University in Saturday's second game beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Lycoming College and William Paterson University will battle in the other first round game at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The consolation game is slated for 11:00 a.m. on Sunday and the championship contest will start at 1:00 p.m. William Paterson is in the tournament for the sixth time while Lycoming and Neumann are both making their second appearance. Moravian headed to its 19-day holiday break with a record of 6-4 and a 0-1 slate in Landmark Conference action. Greyhounds' Head Coach Mary Beth Spirk is in her 33rd season with the Greyhounds and is bringing a career record of 601-289 into the tournament after becoming the eighth active NCAA Division III coach to reach 600 wins last month. The Hounds will meet the Warriors for the third time but it's the first game since 2012, and Moravian leads the series 2-0. The Blue and Grey have faced Neumann three times with a 3-0 mark and have a 3-3 slate versus William Paterson.

The Greyhounds are being led on the court by senior guard Maddie Capuano, who is averaging 18.3 points per game to go with 33 rebounds, 21 assists, 18 three-pointers and nine steals. Senior forward Nadine Ewald is averaging a double-double at 16.3 points and 12.8 rebounds per contest, and she has 20 assists, 13 blocked shots and 12 steals while senior guard Karlie Brogan is contributing 10.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per outing to go along with 29 assists, 11 steals and six blocked shots.

Sophomore guard Kayla Yoegel is netting 7.0 points per game for the Hounds and has added 31 rebounds, nine three-pointers, nine blocked shots, eight assists and four steals while freshman guard Madison Amy is adding 6.7 points per contest in her debut season to go along with 30 rebounds, 19 assists, 13 steals and 10 three-pointers. Freshman Morgan Amy is scoring 4.2 points per outing with 20 rebounds, 19 assists, six steals and five three-pointers while freshman forward Emily Markowski has 25 rebounds, 24 points and nine steals this winter. Freshman guard Jackie Kelly has contributed 22 points and 18 rebounds while junior forward Jordan Beneducci had 21 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists and senior guard Brooke Santy has added 10 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists.

Lycoming College located in Williamsport, Pennsylvania rode into an 18-day holiday break with a 7-4 record. The Warriors compete in the MAC Commonwealth Conference and are 2-2 in conference action this season. Lycoming is headed by Christen Ditzler, who is in her 27th season at the helm.

Senior guard/forward Kayla Kline leads four Warriors in double figures with an average of 14.4 points per game to go along with 8.0 rebounds per contest, 23 assists and 10 steals. Senior guard Morgan Mader is contributing 12.7 points per outing with 30 three-pointers, 29 rebounds, 13 assists and 13 steals while senior guard Akilah McFadden is netting 12.4 points per game to go along with 4.2 rebounds per contest, 44 assists, 35 steals, 14 three-pointers and seven blocked shots. Junior forward Erica Lutz is scoring 11.6 points per outing and leads Lycoming on the boards at 9.5 rebounds per game to go with 25 blocked shots, 14 steals and 10 assists.

Sophomore guard Kelly Vuz is adding 5.1 points per contest with 35 rebounds, 12 assists and seven three-pointers while freshman guard Emily Zoscin is scoring 4.0 points per game 19 rebounds, 12 steals and 11 assists. Freshman forward Kenzie Reed has 30 points, 19 rebounds, nine blocked shots and four steals while sophomore guard Alex Jones has contributed 30 points, six rebounds, five three-pointers and four steals. Sophomore guard Allison Wagner has added 25 rebounds, 20 points, 13 assists and four steals while junior guard Sydney Purcell has 17 assists, 12 points, five rebounds and five steals.

Neumann University from Aston, Pennsylvania took a 4-7 record into the holiday break after playing on December 19. The Knights compete in the Atlantic East Conference and don't begin conference play until January 8. Neumann is led by Mary Beth McNichol, who is in her second season.

Sophomore guard Chelsea Keebler is leading the Knights in scoring at 7.5 points per outing with 26 three-pointers, 23 three-pointers, four assists and three steals while junior guard Lauren Leicht is netting 7.0 points per game with 31 rebounds, 29 assists, 17 steals and 11 three-pointers. Sophomore forward Kamryn Englert is contributing 6.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per outing with four steals while sophomore forward Tierra Harris is adding 4.9 points per game with 43 rebounds, eight steals and five assists.

Junior guard Jaylin Ortiz is scoring 4.8 points and grabbing 4.8 rebounds per contest with 15 assists and eight steals while junior guard Kiara Stovall is netting 4.7 points per outing with 31 rebounds, 17 assists and 11 steals. Sophomore guard Aijea Fowler has added 28 points and 24 rebounds while sophomore guard Courtney Murray has 22 points and seven boards and sophomore guard Kortni Taylor has 20 rebounds, 18 points and six steals.

William Paterson University from Wayne, New Jersey entered the holiday break with a 5-5 record after last playing on December 14. The Pioneers compete in the New Jersey Athletic Conference and are 4-1 in conference play this winter. William Paterson is coached by Erin Monahan, who is in her 27th season.

Freshman guard Madison Delude lead the Pioneers in scoring at 11.7 points per game to go with 4.8 rebounds per contest, 12 steals, eight three-pointers and six assists. Senior guard Alisa Giordano is contributing 10.2 points and 4.5 rebounds per outing to go along with 34 assists, 27 steals and 16 three-pointers while freshman forward Allison McBride is averaging 7.5 points and 6.2 rebounds per game with five assists and three steals.

Freshman guard Yakira Rosa is netting 6.6 points per contest to go with 34 rebounds, 19 assists, 19 steals, six three-pointers and a trio of blocked shots while junior forward Vianca Soriano is scoring 5.7 points per outing with 44 rebounds, eight assists, eight steals and seven blocked shots. Sophomore guard Danica DeFrank is contributing 4.2 points per game with 23 rebounds, 20 assists and 20 steals while junior guard Brianna Brooks has 49 rebounds, 41 points, 10 steals, seven assists and five blocked shots and junior guard Jykayla Elting has added 50 rebounds, 33 points, 11 steals, nine assists and six blocked shots. Senior guard Kye Adams and freshman guard Theresa Besso have each scored 13 points with Besso adding 10 rebounnds and two steals and Adams contributing three boards while freshman guard Jenna Abreu has seven points and six rebounds.
