WASHINGTON, D.C. --- The Moravian College women's basketball team dropped a 68-46 decision at The Catholic University of America Saturday in Landmark Conference action.

Senior guard Maddie Capuano led the Greyhounds with 15 points as she moved into fifth all-time in school history with 1,575 points, and Capuano added a pair of rebounds in the game. Sophomore guard Kayla Yoegel contributed a team-high eight rebounds to go with six points and two assists while senior forward Nadine Ewald also scored six points to go with three boards and three blocked shots.

Sophomore guard Alix Buskirk tossed in five points to go with three rebounds and a pair of steals while freshman guard Morgan Amy had four points, five assists and three rebounds. Junior guard Sarah Donati contributed four points and a career-best four rebounds while freshman guard Jackie Kelly scored four points. Junior forward Raquel Lopez de Boer had two points and a pair of assists while freshman guard Madison Amy added two rebounds.

Catholic scored the first 11 points of the contest before Capuano netted a jumper for the Blue and Grey. Capuano would add a three-pointer and another jumper as the Greyhounds closed within five points at 12-7 before the Cardinals scored to lead 14-7 after 10 minutes of action. However, Moravian would only get within six points during the second quarter on four separate occasions before the squads headed to the locker room with Catholic holding a 31-19 edge.

The Cardinals quickly pushed the advantage to 21 points just two and a half minutes into the third quarter, and Catholic outscored Moravian 28-9 in the third period to lead 59-28 after 30 minutes of action.  The Greyhounds would limit the Cardinals to nine points in the fourth quarter including just two in the final six minutes.

The Hounds are slated to return to action on Wednesday, February 5 when the squad hosts Drew University in a Landmark Conference game beginning at 7:00 p.m. in Johnston Hall on National Girls and Women in Sports Day.
