Greyhounds Post 10 Top Ten Finishes at Thomson Invitational

NEWARK, Del. --- The Moravian College men's indoor track & field team had 10 top ten finishes in the non-scoring Thomson Invitational hosted by The University of Delaware Saturday.

Senior Travis King was the runner-up in the triple jump at an ECAC qualifying distance of 13.60 meters (44 feet, 7 1/2 inches) while freshman Jason Fuehring placed fourth at 13.16 meters (43 feet, 2 1/4 inches) and sophomore Chris Ossont took seventh with a leap of 12.12 meters (39 feet, 9 1/4 inches).

Senior Jonathan Heberling was second in the long jump at 6.33 meters (20 feet, 9 1/4 inches), and he was tied for seventh in the high jump at 1.83 meters (six feet). Freshman Albert Myers finished fourth in the long jump with a leap of 6.13 meters (20 feet, 1 1/2 inches) and Fuehring took seventh in the event at 6.06 meters (19 feet, 10 3/4 inches).

Freshman Ryan Karnopp placed fifth in the pole vault with a height of 4.10 meters (13 feet, 5 1/4 inches).

On the track, freshman David Cariello finished fourth in the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 8.82 seconds while senior Donald Noble took seventh in the mile run in 4:25.83.

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, February 2nd at the John Covert Classic hosted by Lehigh University.
