Joint & Noble Garner Track & Field Athletes of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Junior Kristopher Joint and senior Donald Noble of the Moravian College men's track & field team were named the Landmark Conference Track & Field Athletes of the Week. This is the third time Joint was named the Landmark Field Athlete of the Week this winter.

Joint and Noble helped the Greyhounds capture their fifth Landmark Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship in six seasons.

Joint was named the Field Athlete of the Year after capturing the triple jump title for the third consecutive year. He posted a meet record and ECAC qualifying mark of 14.42 meters (47 feet, 3 ¾ inches). Joint also won the long jump with an ECAC qualifying leap of 6.70 meters (21 feet, 11 ¾ inches), and was fifth in the high jump, clearing 1.80 meters (5 feet, 10 ¾ inches).

Noble, who was named co-Track Athlete of the Week with Kwane Hayle from Susquehanna, won the mile for the third straight year in 4:22.72 and the 5,000 meter run for the third consecutive championship in 15:34.61 to be named the Co-Track Athlete of the Year with Hayle.

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Friday, March 1st and Saturday, March 2nd at the 2013 ECAC Division III Championships at the New York City Armory with the final opportunity to qualify for the NCAA Division III National Championships in two weeks.
