King Wins Triple Jump at Tribe Invitational

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. --- Senior Travis King won the triple jump at the non-scoring Tribe Invitational hosted the College of William and Mary Saturday.

King had a winning distance of 13.82 meters (45 feet, 4 1/4 inches) in the event. Freshman Jason Fuehring and sophomore Chris Ossont each tied for eighth in the event with marks of 12.83 meters (42 feet, 1 1/4 inches).

Junior Timothy Lorah was fourth in the javelin with a toss of 56.12 meters (184 feet, one inch) while senior Tyler Potterton was seventh at 49.94 meters (163 feet, ten inches) and sophomore Kyle Conors took tenth at 45.56 meters (149 feet, six inches). Sophomore Jeffrey Gallagher was tenth in the discus with a toss of 38.63 meters (126 feet, nine inches).

Freshman Ryan Karnopp placed sixth in the pole vault, clearing a height of 4.20 meters (13 feet, 9 1/4 inches) while freshman Albert Myers took ninth in the long jump with a leap of 6.54 meters (21 feet, 5 1/2 inches).

Myers also had Moravian's top finish on the track as he placed 12th in the 100-meter dash in 11.45 seconds.

The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, March 30th at the Lafayette College 7-Way Meet.
