Scott Goodwin selected as Landmark Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week.

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College senior Scott Goodwin has been selected as the Landmark Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week for his performance this past Saturday.

Goodwin was the runner-up in the pole vault at the Collegeville Classic hosted by Ursinus College at a height of 4.25 meters (13-11.25) to earn eight points for the Greyhounds, who finished third of 24 teams scoring in the meet. Goodwin, who matched the winning height but in more attempts, recorded one of three runner-up finishes for the Hounds.

"Scott had a solid first meet," stated Director of Track & Field Jesse Baumann. "The pole vault is as tough as any event when you come off break since it's so technical but a lot of what we like to see on the runway with his mechanics and push in the back are there, he was generally having a good take off position, so if the runway work is there, we have a good starting point to build from the next few weeks as he tries to work towards the 5-meter bars that could push him to Boston in March."

The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, January 26 when Moravian hosts the Covert Classic at Lehigh University's Rauch Fieldhouse beginning at 9:30 a.m.
