Jaindl Places 13th in Steeplechase on Final Day of 2019 NCAA DIII National Championships

GENEVA, Ohio --- Moravian College junior Greg Jaindl competed in the finals of the 3,000-meter steeplechase on the third and final day of the 2019 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field National Championships being hosted by the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission and the University of Mount Union at the SPIRE Institute Saturday.

Jaindl, who was racing in the finals for the first time at the NCAA Championships, finished 13th of 14 runners in the final of the steeplechase with a time of 9:36.69. Jaindl had run a preliminary time of 9:17.19 to place 13th of 20 on Thursday and advance to Saturday's championship race.

Moravian has now completed its 2018-19 athletic campaign. The Greyhounds will have 96 days without competition before the men's and women's soccer teams, the men's and women's cross country squads, the field hockey team and the women's volleyball squad all start the 2019-20 athletic seasons on Friday, August 30.
