TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College junior Ryan Harper has been selected the Landmark Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.
Harper finished third in the hammer throw with a career-best toss of 46.52 meters (152-7) as the Greyhounds began the 2019 outdoor season at the West Chester University Golden Ram Invitational.
"Ryan has been doing great in practice and has given us signs that he could get into the 50-meter range this spring," stated Director of Track & Field Jesse Baumann. "As everyone knows, the conditions were less than ideal, but he still was able to pull off a nearly two-meter PR which may have been even farther on his 5th throw but he had a close sector foul. He's poised for a big outdoor season after a great debut."
The Greyhounds will return to action on Saturday, March 30 when the squad competes in the Lafayette College 7-Way Meet.
