Brockett Hits ECAC Mark in 5K at Great Dane Classic

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. --- Junior Meg Brockett ran a career-best time and an ECAC qualifying mark of 17:42.72 in the 5,000-meter run at the Great Dane Classic hosted by the University of Albany at the Ocean Breeze Complex in Staten Island, New York to lead a small group of competitors from the Moravian College women's track and field team Saturday.

Brockett took fifth in the race with the fourth fastest time in Moravian history. Freshman Alyssa Limbaugh turned in a time of 5:53.82 in the mile run as the Greyhounds' other female competitor while freshman Mike Kopach had a time of 2:04.75 in the men's 800-meter run.

The Hounds will be back in action with the full team competing at the Ursinus College Invitational on Saturday, January 23.
