Hughes & Glass Win Events at East Stroudsburg All-American Meet

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's track & field squad participated in the non-scoring East Stroudsburg University All-American Meet Saturday with a pair of individual event champions.

Junior Sarah Hughes captured the 5,000-meter run with an ECAC qualifying time of 18:06.89 while senior Corinne Glass won the 400-meter dash in an ECAC qualifying time of 58.04 seconds.

Sophomore Kirsten Lebo took fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a time of 13:35.39. Freshman Anna Osman finished fifth in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:07.33 while senior Meghan Newman placed tenth in the 100-meter hurdles in 16.22 seconds.

In the field events, junior Jackie Finnegan had an ECAC qualifying toss of 47.23 meters (154-11) in the hammer throw, and she placed sixth in the discus with a mark of 34.33 meters (112-7). Senior Abbey Clark was ninth in the shot put with a toss of 10.87 meters (35-8).

Senior Christelle Reglas was fifth in the long jump with a leap of 4.97 meters (16-3.75) while sophomore Beth Ann Davies was eighth in the pole vault at 3.10 meters (10-2). Sophomore Melissa Cheong placed fourth in the high jump at a height of 1.58 meters (5-2.25) while sophomore Casie Cronk was tied for ninth in the event at 1.48 meters (4-10.25).

The Greyhounds will compete in two meets this week with small group competing at the Penn Relays on Thursday and Friday, April 28-29, and the rest of the team participating in the Lehigh University Games on Saturday, April 30.
