Cronk Leads Greyhounds with 1st Place Finish in High Jump at Kutztown

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Greyhounds grabbed a fourth place team finish as the team compete in the Kutztown University Six-Team Last Chance Qualifier.

On the women's side sophomore Casie Cronk took home a first place finish in the high jump when she cleared 1.59 meters (5-2.5), which also means she has qualified to jump at the ECAC DIII Championship in March. The height is also seventh best in school history.

Also competing well for the Greyhounds were junior Lauren White and freshman Amari Schooler, who finished fifth and sixth in the 55-meter dash with times of 7.71 and 7.80 seconds in the finals. Junior Meghan Newman took the eighth spot with a time of 7.93 while junior Christelle Reglas finished ninth with a 7.96 and in tenth was freshman Anna Osman running 8.03. White also took a 10th place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 1:03.69 while Schooler took seventh in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 9.06.

In the 400-meter run freshman Maike Krischer took home the eighth spot with a time of 1:03.69 while in the 800-meter run, junior Sarah Hughes finished fifth with a time of 2:32.72. Then in the one mile run, freshman Kelly Gonoude and junior Larissa Strycharz finished in the top-10 with times of 5:47.76 and 6:00.77. Freshman Alyssa Limbaugh snuck into second place in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 11:22.09 while sophomore Kirsten Lebo  took ninth with a time of 12:23.47.

In the field events, sophomore Beth Ann Davies finished eighth with a height of 3.15 meters (10-4) in the pole vault. In the long jump Reglas finished eighth with a jump of 5.08 meters (16-8) while junior Kiara Bright grabbed third in the triple jump with a jump of 10.69 meters (35-1). In the shot put, senior Abbey Clark took sixth with a throw of 11.33 meters (37-2.25) while sophomore Ciara Stewart finished just behind her with 11.02 meters (36-2). Clark took sixth again in the weight throw tossing 13.01 meters (42-8) while teammate Jackie Finnegan finished just in front of Clark with a 13.29 meter (48-7) throw.

The Greyhounds also have members competing Sunday, February 21 at the Princeton Invitational in Princeton, New Jersey.
