Hounds Capture Four Event Titles at Muhlenberg Invitational

ALLENTOWN, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's track & field team four four events and added four ECAC qualifying marks and one school record at the Muhlenberg College Invitational Saturday hosted by the Mules at Scotty Wood Stadium.

Senior Corinne Glass won the 100-meter dash in an ECAC qualifying time of 12.38 seconds, which also ranks 13th on the Track & Field Results Reporting System list and the top 22 females in each event on the list will compete at the NCAA Division III Championships in May, and Glass also won the 200-meter dash with an ECAC qualifying time of 25.60 seconds.

Sophomore Mary Kate Duncan won the javelin with an ECAC qualifying mark of 41.01 meters (134-6) while junior Jackie Finnegan won the hammer throw Friday evening at Moravian with an ECAC qualifying and school record toss of 48.56 meters (159-4), which is seventh on the TFRRS list.

Sophomore Melissa Cheong was third in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.81 seconds while senior Meghan Newman was eighth in 16.60 seconds. The Greyhounds 4x400-meter relay squad of freshmen Anna Osman, Maike Krischer, Tamara Suchan and Monica Richardson was third in 4:11.08.

Sophomore Casie Cronk tied for fifth in the high jump at 1.57 meters (5-1.75) while Cheong finished in a tie for seventh at 1.52 meters (4-11.75). Cheong was also sixth in the long jump at 5.07 meters (16-7.75) while senior Christelle Reglas was ninth at 4.71 meters (15-5.5). Junior Kiara Bright tied for eighth in the triple jump at 10.16 meters (33-4). Graduate student Chelsea Swick and sophomore Beth Ann Davies were tied for fifth in the pole vault at 2.89 meters (9-5.75).

Sophomore Ciara Stewart was eighth in the shot put with a toss of 10.67 meters (35-0.25) while senior Abbey Clark was tenth at 10.42 meters (34-2.25). Clark also finished tenth in the hammer throw with a toss of 33.82 meters (110-11) while sophomore Maggie Heft was eighth at 39.34 meters (129-1) and senior Shelby Morgan took ninth with a mark of 36.2 meters (118-10). Sophomore Nicole Capuano was seventh in the javelin with a toss of 33.80 meters (110-11).

Moravian will return to action when the Greyhounds host the Annual Coach P Invitational on Friday and Saturday, April 8-9 at Rocco Calvo Field. Action is slated to begin at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
