Brockett Qualifies for 2016 NCAA DIII Indoor National Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- Moravian College junior Meg Brockett has qualified to compete in the 2016 NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships being hosted by Grinnell (Iowa) College on March 11-12.

Brockett will be competing in the 5,000-meter run on Friday, March 11 at 6:50 EST after qualifying with the 15th fastest time of the 17 competitors in the field. Brockett ran a time of 17:25.67 on Friday, March 4 at the Tufts University Final Qualifying Meet improving her personal best by 17 seconds, giving her the second fastest time in school history. The top eight runners in the race will earn All-America honors, and Brockett is just six seconds out of eighth on the qualifying list.

Friday will be Brockett's first trip to the NCAA Indoor National Championships while she has run in the NCAA Division III Cross Country Mideast Regional the last three Novembers.
