Greyhounds Combine for 10th in Shuttle Hurdle at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's track & field had its shuttle hurdle relay team finish 10th on the second day of the Penn Relays at historic Franklin Field Friday.

Moravian's shuttle hurdle relay team of senior Meghan Newman, sophomore Melissa Cheong and freshmen Anna Osman and Amari Schooler ran a time of 1:05.82 in the Shuttle Hurdle Championship of America.

The shuttle hurdle has four teams on the track at once using two lanes with the hurdles going in opposite directions. The first comeptitor does the 100-meter hurdles in one direction, and when they cross the finish line, the next competitor goes in the other direction in the next lane. Each team runs both directions twice in its two lanes.

Moravian is slated to be back in action on Saturday, April 30 in the Lehigh University Games.
