Glass Selected as Landmark Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College senior Corinne Glass has been selected as the Landmark Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week for her performance on Sunday.

Glass won a pair of events at Moravian's Coach P Open as the meet was moved to Sunday due to the weather. She captured first place in the 200-meter dash in an ECAC qualifying time of 24.99 seconds, which is tied for fifth on the Track & Field Results Reporting System and the top 22 women in each event will head to the NCAA Championships in late May. Glass also won the 400-meter dash in the ECAC qualifying time of 57.40 seconds to move into a tie for 12th on the TFRRS list.

"Corinne is already a month ahead of where she was this time last year," stated Head Coach Jesse Baumann. "For the past month or so, she's raced with the same confidence she had last season so it's no surprise to see that she's running as well as she is. She has tremendous talent, has worked hard, and now she believes she can excel and we're seeing that. She's wanted to make NCAAs for a while now, and although she's not there yet, she is undoubtedly setting herself up to make that a reality this May."

Moravian is scheduled to return to action its second straight home meet this weekend as Blue and Grey host the Annual Greyhound Invitational on Friday and Saturday, April1 15-16 with action beginning at 3:30 p.m. on Friday and 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
