Glass Breaks 200-Meter Dash School Record at ECAC Championship

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. --- The Moravian College women's track and field team competed at the ECAC Indoor Track and Field Championship Friday night and throughout the day Saturday. The Blue and Grey finished 23rd of 50 teams with 13 points.

Leading the Greyhounds on the women's side was senior Corinne Glass, who finished second in the 400 meter dash with a school record time of 57.62 and then finished sixth in the 200 meter dash crossing the line at 25.49 which is the second fastest time in school history and her personal best. Sophomore Casie Cronk placed tied for sixth with a jump of 1.59 meters (5-2.5) while sophomore Melissa Cheong also jumped 1.59 meter (5-2.5) finished 12th due to taking more attempts over the course of the event. Cheong also competed in the 60-meter dash running a 9.50 for 12th place in the preliminaries. Junior Sarah Hughes placed 10th in the one mile run with a time of 5:12.83.

In the weight throw, junior Jackie Finnegan threw 13.89m (45-7) for 16th place. In the 4x400 meter relay the team of sophomore Monica Richardson and freshmen Maike Krischer, Tamara Suchan and Anna Osman finished 18th crossing the line at 4:08.36.
