Three Field Hockey Players are Ranked in NCAA Statistics

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Three Moravian College field hockey players are ranked in this week's NCAA Division III statistics released Tuesday.

Senior defender Stephanie Pezzello (Holmdel, N.J./St. John Vianney) is tied for fourth in the nation with nine defensive saves. Pezzello has started all eight games for the Greyhounds while helping Moravian hold a 1.99 goals against average.

Senior goalkeeper Catherine Gottlieb (Blackwood, N.J./Paul VI) is ranked 14th with a .833 save percentage. Gottlieb has three wins with one shutout to go with her 1.89 goals against average.

Junior midfielder Chelsea Grotyohann (Lafayette, N.J./Newton) is tied for 49th in the country with 0.63 assists per game. Grotyohann has five assists and two goals in eight games.

As a team, Moravian is tied for fifth in defensive saves (12), tenth in save percentage (0.84), tied for 19th in assists per game (2.38) and 25th in saves per game (10.5).

The Greyhounds return to the field on Wednesday, October 3rd as they travel to The University of Scranton for a Landmark Conference contest. The match is scheduled for 7 p.m.
