Three Field Hockey Players Rank in Latest NCAA DIII Stats

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Three Moravian College field hockey players are ranked in the latest NCAA Division III statistics released Tuesday.

Senior defender Stephanie Pezzello is tied for sixth in the nation with ten defensive saves. Pezzello has helped the Greyhounds achieve a 1.99 goals against average in 12 games.

Senior goalkeeper Catherine Gottlieb ranks 24th in the country with a 0.806 save percentage. Gottlieb is 5-6 with one shutout and a 1.91 goals against average.

Sophomore midfielder Catherine Duffin is tied for 39th in Division III with 0.64 assists per game. Duffin has a team-high six assists to go with her five goals.

As a team, Moravian is tied for 11th in defensive saves (15), 16th in save percentage (0.814), tied for 35th in assists per game (2.0), 45th in penalty corners (10.67), and tied for 48th in saves per game (8.75)

The Greyhounds return to action on Thursday, October 18th as they host Ramapo College of New Jersey. The contest is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Betty Prince Field
