Pezzello, Gottlieb & Duffin Ranked in Final NCAA Field Hockey Statistics

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Three Moravian College field hockey student-athletes are ranked in the final NCAA Division III field hockey statistics released Tuesday.

Senior defender Stephanie Pezzello is tied for sixth in the nation with 13 defensive saves. Pezzello helped the Greyhounds achieve a 1.64 goals against average over 17 games.

Senior goalkeeper Catherine Gottlieb is ranked 12th in the country with a .815 save percentage, and is 36th with a 1.57 goals against average. Gottlieb finished the season 8-8 with three shutouts.

Sophomore midfielder Catherine Duffin is ranked 43rd in Division III with 0.56 assists per game. Duffin lead the Greyhounds with 24 points off of eight goals and eight assists this season.

As a team, Moravian is ranked seventh in save percentage (.828), 14th in defensive saves (19), tied for 22nd in shutouts per game (0.29), 36th in goals against average (1.64) and 45th in assists per game (1.88).

The field hockey squad finished 8-9 falling one game short of the Landmark Conference playoffs. The Greyhounds also went 7-1 at Betty Prince Field this fall.
