Three Field Hockey Players Rank in Latest NCAA Stats

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Three Moravian College field hockey players are ranked in the latest NCAA Division III statistics released Tuesday.

Senior defender Stephanie Pezzello is tied for fifth in the nation with ten defensive saves. Pezzello has helped the Greyhounds achieve a 1.89 goals against average in ten games.

Senior goalkeeper Catherine Gottlieb ranks 12th in the country with a 0.830 save percentage. Gottlieb is 4-5 with one shutout and a 1.80 goals against average.

Sophomore midfielder Catherine Duffin is ranked 21st in Division III with 0.78 assists per game. Duffin has a team-high six assists to go with her three goals.

As a team, Moravian ranks eighth in save percentage (0.839), tenth in defensive saves (14), 32nd in saves per game (9.9) and tied for 32nd in assists per game (2.2).

The Greyhounds return to action on Wednesday, October 10th as they travel to rival Muhlenberg College. The contest is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
